Warm Congratulations on the Establishment of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Malaysia Alumni Association

On April 16, 2025, Alumni Association President Hong Zi Shen and Council Advisor Liew Chee Wei attended the inauguration ceremony of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Malaysia Alumni Association. The ceremony was held at the China Construction Bank Tower in Kuala Lumpur, where Mr. Yang Zhenbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, gathered with over 50 Malaysian alumni to reminisce about their shared experiences and discuss future prospects.

Distinguished guests, including YB Chang Lih Kang, Malaysia’s Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation; Mr. Leong Seng Yee, Executive Director of the United Chinese School Committees’ Association of Malaysia (Dong Zong); Mr. Lim Kok Yan, President of the The Association of Graduates from Universities and Colleges of China; Mr. Wang Qijie, General Manager of China Construction Bank Malaysia; Professor Zhu Chongshi, former President of Xiamen University; and Professor Wang Ruifang, President of Xiamen University Malaysia, as well as representatives from fellow Chinese university alumni associations such as Peking University, Renmin University, and Zhejiang University, also attended the ceremony to extend their congratulations on the establishment of Malaysia’s 20th Chinese university alumni association.
