Important notes:
If you have difficulty understanding the application process or filling out the forms, it is not recommended to apply.
Document preparation may take days or even weeks, apply early.
Tsinghua only accepts online applications via the official website. This is the sole application channel.
Applications can only be submitted through Tsinghua University's official website. Applicants must provide the details of two referees, who will receive a link to submit their recommendation letters online. For undergraduate applications, referees can be principals or teachers, while postgraduate applicants must be recommended by two professors or associate professors. Some schools (e.g., Chinese independent high schools) have prior experience with the application process, students may consult their school directly. Final admission decisions are made solely by Tsinghua, and recommendation letters are not the only criteria; academic performance, extracurricular activities, and interview performance are equally important.
The Alumni Association and Dong Zong do not provide guaranteed admission or recommendation letters (Dong Zong ceased doing so since 2022).
Be cautious of agencies claiming guaranteed admission. They only assist with form-filling and do not increase your chances of acceptance. Paying such agencies offers no real advantage. The safest and only official way to apply is by submitting your application personally through Tsinghua’s official website.
No, we do not assist with exam exemptions or recommendation letter requests for students.
No, Dong Zong discontinued providing recommendations since 2022. For future updates, please refer to Dong Zong's official website.
Beware of agents claiming guaranteed admissions; applying through them does not enhance your chances. The only reliable method is a personal application on the official website.

You can submit your preliminary exam or school exam results first, and later supplement them with the official results.
UEC students do not require it, but other certificate holders might. Check eligibility here. STPM students may consider submitting their STPM Chinese subject result as a reference, along with a cover letter explaining the situation to the university. The documents should be compiled into a PDF in the following order:
The explanation letter
A copy of the STPM certificate
An official English translation of the certificate (please check: https://www.malaysiantranslatorsassoc.com)
For Malaysia HSK, visit here.
Individuals who have passed any of the following English proficiency tests are exempt from taking another English exam:

STPM
TOEFL
IELTS

In the past, some students were required to take an entrance exam, but this has not been reported in recent years. Whether the exam will be reinstated remains uncertain, especially for admissions starting from August 2024. Admission methods include direct admission, interview-based admission, or a combination of entrance exam and interview. Applicants to the Academy of Arts must take a written test. Further instructions will be provided via the application system and email after submission.
Admission methods include direct admission, interview-based admission, or a combined assessment of entrance exam and interview. Applicants to the Academy of Arts are required to take a written test. In recent years, interviews have been conducted in Kuala Lumpur. Notifications will be provided via the application system and email after submission.
Interview formats vary each year and may be conducted online or in person. They include individual interviews (with several interviewers) or group interviews (3–5 candidates at once). In some cases, candidates are given a topic 15–20 minutes in advance to prepare for a 10-minute interview; in others, the interview begins directly. The selection process is highly competitive, confidence, clear expression, and showcasing personal strengths are essential.
