On 21 January 2026, a delegation of more than 20 members from Tsinghua University’s “Hongyan Program,” led by two faculty members from the Student Affairs Office, Zhang Daiwei and Shen Yutong, arrived in Kuala Lumpur and engaged in exchanges with local alumni.

The “Hongyan Program” is a core overseas exchange support initiative under Tsinghua University’s developmental financial aid system. Through financial and policy support, the program enables students to participate in academic exchanges, practical research, and study programs around the world. It aims to alleviate financial concerns and encourage students to go abroad to broaden their global perspectives.

That evening, President Zi Shen, Secretary-General Fabian, and Treasurer Bei Sheng met with the delegation for a discussion at the association’s venue. During the session, the teachers and students introduced the latest developments of their colleges and the university, while the students also shared their academic backgrounds and learning experiences. The alumni, in turn, presented their experiences in studying, working, and developing their careers in Malaysia, and engaged in discussions on Malaysia’s economic, educational, and cultural landscape.

The exchange lasted approximately two hours in a warm and engaging atmosphere. This interaction not only strengthened the connection between alumni and their alma mater, but also created opportunities for future collaboration in talent development, internship arrangements, and research cooperation.
