The 6th Executive Committee Re-election Was Successfully Held

On May 25, 2025, the 6th Executive Committee successfully completed its re-election under the chairmanship of former Vice President Victor Sim, with Hong Zi Shen re-elected as President. Following the constitutional amendments passed at last week's AGM, a new Vice President and Deputy Secretary-General position were added. Key positions including Vice Presidents, Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General, and Treasurer were successfully elected. At the same time, the Committee respectfully invited Founding President Liew Jin Yi to serve as an Advisor, continuing to provide valuable guidance and support to the Alumni Association.

The 6th Executive Committee Re-election

Following the re-election, the committee convened a meeting to outline the direction and key initiatives for the new term. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the alumni association, and several working committees have been formed to organize celebration events and enhance alumni engagement:

• 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner Committee led by Fabian Kong

• 4th “Zijing Cup” Badminton Tournament led by Laxus Lim

• Membership Recruitment Committee led by Edison Wong

With the implementation of the China–Malaysia visa-free policy, more Tsinghua alumni from China are visiting Malaysia for business, cultural exchanges, tourism, and exploring international collaborations. This year, the association's key goal is to strengthen ties among local and overseas alumni, especially reconnecting with those who have lost contact, in order to build a stronger alumni network and foster mutual support and shared growth.

The newly elected Executive Committee will continue to uphold the Tsinghua spirit over the next two years, serving alumni, uniting strength, and striving for a brighter future together.
