Tanwei College Visit IOI Group

On August 12, 2025, the Tanwei College delegation, together with Hong Zi Shen, Fabian Kong, and Charlie Ng, visited IOI Group. They held a discussion session with the Group’s Deputy CEO, Mr. Tan Kean Hua, and other company leaders, focusing on topics such as IOI’s industrial strengths and advantages, business layout, and production technologies. The delegation was especially impressed by IOI’s comprehensive approach to the full-cycle sustainable utilization of palm oil. In addition, the students presented some of the research outcomes from the Department of Chemical Engineering, seeking potential opportunities for collaboration along the path from technology to industrial application.

In the evening, the delegation held an exchange session with members of the Tsinghua Alumni Association. Alumni and students engaged in discussions on career planning, daily life and studies, as well as cultural atmosphere. Through these conversations, the students gained a deep sense of the alumni’s strong attachment to their alma mater and their genuine care for younger generations.
