From May 1st to 7th, 2024, a delegation from the Shenzhen Digital Economy Industry Promotion Association (Shenzhen Digital Association) visited Malaysia for a week-long infrastructure inspection tour. Hong Zi Shen, the President of the Malaysian Alumni Association of Tsinghua University, personally accompanied, warmly welcoming members of the Shenzhen Digital Association. This activity was initiated by Dato' Stanley Ling, Chairman of Global Telecom, and Gao Hui, Vice President of BoDa Data, who is also an alumnus of Tsinghua University, enabling the alumni association to have the opportunity to meet with the Digital Association.
Among the members of the Shenzhen Digital Association are Tsinghua alumni from mainland China. Together, they visited several states in Malaysia, including Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Malacca, Johor, and Sarawak, to explore the feasibility of establishing an artificial intelligence computing center in Malaysia. During their visit, they also met with numerous companies, including many alumni-related enterprises such as Country Height Holdings Berhad, TusStar Malaysia, AttreLogix Networks, and others.
This inspection tour is not only an important exploration of the digital economy industry but also active participation by Tsinghua alumni in international cooperation and exchanges. We look forward to this collaboration bringing more opportunities and vitality to the digital economy development of both Shenzhen and Malaysia.
