On September 3, 2022, the AGTHUM and the Tsinghua University Malaysian Student Association (THUMSA) jointly organized a dinner gathering at Restaurant 1919 in Kuala Lumpur. More than eighty Tsinghua alumni gathered to celebrate both the Mid-Autumn Festival and Malaysia's National Day.
This rare event facilitated effective integration between alumni and current students and served as the final offline gathering for current students in Malaysia. The purpose of this gathering was to promote interaction among participants. Liew Chee Wei, the president of the AGTHUM, and Chua Zhi Rong, the 10th president of THUMSA, welcomed the attendees and expressed gratitude for their active participation.
To enhance interaction, the event featured a well-planned game called "Unknown You." Each participant received a note describing different physical features, and the challenge was to find someone with related features and take a photo together. The enthusiasm was high, and the participants actively engaged in the game. THUMSA awarded small gifts to the first five participants who completed the task quickly.
In addition to the lively interactions and thrilling games, the gathering also included a touching choir performance. Accompanied by the beautiful melody of "Wishing You Eternal Happiness," the voices of everyone echoed in the air. Through this song, we expressed our yearning for family, loved ones, or friends and conveyed heartfelt wishes. The event concluded on a warm and harmonious note, leaving everyone looking forward to the next reunion!
