On 8 February 2026, the Alumni Association (AGTHUM) and the Student Association (THUMSA) jointly organized a Chinese New Year luncheon to strengthen interaction and connections between alumni and current students. About 60 participants attended, including local alumni, current students, and overseas alumni. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming.

The luncheon was sponsored by the AGTHUM and jointly planned and organized by both the AGTHUM and THUMSA. The event opened with remarks by AGTHUM President Hong Zi Shen and THUMSA President Lee Zi King. In their speeches, both emphasized the importance of closer and more frequent engagement between alumni and students, and encouraged the organization of more diverse activities to build stronger platforms for connection, resource sharing, and experience exchange.

During the event, THUMSA arranged a variety of musical performances and interactive games, which significantly increased participation and enjoyment. These activities also created more opportunities for alumni from different cohorts and students to mingle and connect in a relaxed setting. The luncheon concluded successfully in a festive and cheerful New Year atmosphere, further strengthening ties within the alumni and student community.
