On March 11, 2026, the Chinese New Year gathering was grandly held. The event was jointly organised by the Malaysia Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce and the Malaysia Zhejiang Overseas Chinese Association, together with multiple Malaysian Chinese business organisations. It brought together representatives from Chinese provincial chambers of commerce in Malaysia, community leaders, and business delegates. With its large scale and vibrant atmosphere, the event served as an important platform for strengthening Malaysia–China engagement.

Centered on the theme of “New Migrants Integration,” the event aimed to enhance connections between new migrant communities and local society, while promoting resource integration and collaborative development. Distinguished figures from the political and business sectors attended and delivered speeches, highlighting the vital role of the Chinese community in driving economic growth and fostering Malaysia–China relations. They also encouraged closer collaboration among business associations to unlock new opportunities.

AGTHUM was also invited to participate in this grand gathering. President Hong Zi Shen, Secretary-General Fabian Kong, and numerous alumni attended, engaging in in-depth exchanges with representatives from various sectors, expanding networks, and sharing perspectives on topics such as technological innovation and industrial collaboration.

This large-scale Chinese New Year gathering, attended by over a thousand participants, not only further strengthened the cohesion of the Chinese community in Malaysia but also laid a solid foundation for future cross-regional and cross-industry cooperation. AGTHUM expressed its commitment to continue actively participating in such high-quality platforms, fostering deeper connections between alumni and broader society, and contributing to Malaysia’s development and the strengthening of Malaysia–China friendship.
